The Pittsburgh Steelers lost Le’Veon Bell via free agency this offseason, and the All-Pro RB sent a message to his former team regarding their Week 16 matchup.

The NFL schedule release has become a full fledged event across the league landscape, and don’t think players don’t pay attention to specific games which pop up among the new slate of games.

For former Pittsburgh Steelers turned New York Jets running back Le’Veon Bell, he has the Week 16 game vs. the Steelers at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey circled on his calendar.

In fact, Bell took to Twitter to send a clear message to the Steelers as they will be on the other side of Bell for the first time in his career.

While fans of both the Steelers and Jets had a strong response to Bell’s social media message, there was one player on the Steelers who took it upon himself to respond with both a hysterical, and real, tweet.

Yes, Vince Williams always seems to pull through when it comes to handling social media behavior.

On the Steelers Preview 2019 regular season schedule podcast, we talked about the Week 16 game vs. the Jets, and how motivated Bell must be to face his former team. One thing which was discussed was the health of Bell in 2019.

No one knows what Bell will look like after sitting out the entire 2018 season, and if injury strikes you have to wonder if the Steelers and Jets will go head-to-head in Week 16 without Bell. And in this scenario the extra ‘sauce’ of the revenge rematch would be lessened greatly. This could be why the league decided not to highlight the game on primetime.

Do you think Bell will play in the Week 16 game? Or will injury strike and find him watching, rather than playing? Only time will tell…
